Our founder selected the name after the story in the Bible (Luke 10:38-42) of two sisters that had invited Jesus into their home. One sister was name Martha while the other was named Mary. This story reminds us that while each of us are called to serve in different ways, we can never get so busy with tasks that we forget the value of relationships with those around us.
